“Men in Heels” video from Lebanon is a tribute for women upon the International Women’s Day on March 8.
A group of people who believe in the positive power of social media and all the ideas they have are materialized by shooting videos and posting them on their YouTube channel. Their mission is to make people laugh, be inspired and be kind themselves. They created a Latin motto "Felicitas Experimentis" which means "Happiness Experiments". They are all experts in marketing, online media, music and innovation. All crew and cast are volunteers.
What the UF Team said about their experience?
"What seemed to be for us quite an obvious task of finding high heels which fit our size turned out to be an epic endeavor. We searched different shops in different regions of Lebanon for days but couldn't find any high heel shoe bigger than 41. Finally, we had to go with what we found in one of Western Beirut’s flea markets. This said, our feet were squeezed inside the shoes and this added to the ordeal. We spent a full hour wandering around the mall, taking pictures with people and even dancing. Let’s put it this way: 48 hours after the shooting, we still had painful muscle cramps!".
And about people's reactions?
"We got all sorts of reactions when we were shooting this. Wide open eyes turned into a slight grin then into a hysterical laughter then to a more serious face when we explained why we are doing this. We are doing it to support women: Men remained shocked but most women were thankful and enjoyed watching every second of it."
